What is a Carbon Management System?

The standard Carbon Management System — Requirements was issued by the China Certification and Accreditation Administration Association. Adopting life cycle philosophy and risk-based thinking, it facilitates the shift from emission or emission reduction result-oriented carbon management to carbon management throughout the life cycle of products and services, so as to control or influence all carbon-related activities of an organization. This standard is applicable to all organizations regardless of their nature, type, scale, complexity, geographical location, organizational culture, or the products and services they provide.
