Certification Overview

GAP is the abbreviation for Good Agricultural Practice. As a standardized sustainable agricultural production management system widely adopted in agricultural production, GAP advocates adopting the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) approach to identify, assess and control food safety hazards. It applies modern agricultural technologies in a scientific and rational manner, and standardizes the production and post-harvest handling of agricultural products via agricultural standardization technologies, so as to efficiently and steadily improve the yield and quality of agricultural products.

Good Agricultural Practice certification is divided into Level 1 Certification and Level 2 Certification. Enterprises may select the corresponding certification level based on their actual production conditions and compliance with national standards for Good Agricultural Practice.

At present, GAP certification is widely implemented in more than 120 countries including the United States, the European Union, Japan and Australia. To align with international standards, advance the development of modern agriculture and help Chinese agricultural products better access global markets, China is comprehensively promoting the development of the national GAP standard system and relevant certification services.
